Replay: Tesla's next-generation Roadster reveal streamed Thursday, Oct. 15, 2026, from a SpaceX test site in McGregor, Texas, and wrapped at about 6:25 p.m. PT (BGR's liveblog signed off then). The company scheduled the stream for 7:55 p.m. Central (5:55 p.m. Pacific / 8:55 p.m. Eastern). Engadget's liveblog said the event started about five minutes late.

What to watch for in the replay
Engadget and BGR's liveblogs, watching the same stream, report the Roadster drove up a large ramp, held inverted with a suction/"fan" downforce system, then used jets/thrusters to manage a descent and landing. Engadget also reported a later pass that jumped a line of other Teslas, flipped, and landed. An Optimus robot was in the driver's seat; reporters said the car appeared programmed for the stunts.
On X during the show, Tesla wrote that today's Roadster is "the best of the last human-driven cars," and Elon Musk posted "Tesla x SpaceX" plus "Success is not certain, but excitement is." Full write-up: our live reveal story.
The numbers from the stream
Late in the show Tesla ran a live 0-60 test of 0.81 seconds and listed top speed as over 230 mph. The closing slides put production in 2028. No price, delivery date or range was announced.
